RE: 65 Parisienne convertible RHD

Like dualquadpete I've had no problems driving on the right in an LHD car. You have to concentrate a bit more when no other cars are about to remind you, like late at night, especially leaving petrol stations and at roundabouts. It could be weird driving on the right in an RHD car though, and vice versa.

This will be controversial, but I think RHD could be marginally safer for right handed drivers (like me) because your dominant hand is the one that stays on the wheel when shifting gear or fiddling with the heater or radio. Just a thought...

I have worked on and driven many RHD J-Spec imports, they are fun to drive and like Pete said it doesnt take long to get used to it. of course driving a LHD or RHD in the proper countries you just always need to keep the steering wheel on the center of the road :) or think of always having the traffic on the drivers side of the car lol

this is a 66 australian convertible with a 65 australian front. All australian chev and pontiac came with this dash. all bodies based on chev floorpan. the instrument cluster comes shorter without the radio. The console is custom. The seats look to be late 60s early seventies australian holden or ford. The wheel could be firebird? but likely aftermarket. all canadian imports to Oz had powerglides and they did have the rear speaker grill in the seat. generally years ago pontiacs got the rough end of the pineapple in Oz, usually the engine was pulled to go into a holden of the era and the bodies ditched so when found many years later were missing many parts especially rarities like convertibles. When things went wrong they were too expensive to repair.
