Thanks alot guys. We (my wife) usually race it in the Trophy or No Box class.
Carl ,I just added the alum. heads and i think it has more than 50 % on the rear now cause the front brakes lock up way too easily on the wet pavement.lol. Going to put the proportioning valve on the front .

I have always loved the Vista Cruiser roof and roof rack grafted onto this car. A1!

I was going to ask about that, as I noticed that it still has the standard wagon rear doors and wheelbase.  Any pics of the grafting process?

Mega cool wagon!!!

I was thinking of just putting my steel heads under the bench seat to even the weight out, lol.

I have some origional photos from around 1981 when in was tubbed and the roof went on. Some things about the Vista cars (Sportwagon ,where my roof was from) are they had the same back gate and rear window. The roof raised up at the back to accomidate this. The rear side glass was different than the regular roof wagon glass in that it extended back more. Also the wheelbase was a few inches longer on the Buick/Olds ,than Beaumont/Chevelle due to the longer rear doors to ease getting in the back seat.I guess the way my roof was put on ,it lined up exact ,cause the roof lines from the c pillars to the rear pillars are the same on both cars.

Man, I love that thing!

Judging by the photo in your signature where the car is corkscrewing off the line during a hooking hard launch, your car could benefit from a read stabilizer bar. It would help you hook better, help with controllability, and also help ease the work your posi has to do by equalizing the load on the rear axle. It would even be considered an axle saver. Think about it.
