1965 Laurentian 2 door sedan (post) project car Ottawa - $500 will negotiate on parts

1965 Laurentian 2 door post project car, rough but saveable.  $500.  Originally an Artesian Turquoise w/Turquoise interior, 6 cylinder car.  Currently no engine, does have auto trans (p-glide?) and rear end.  Frame solid from my and others visual inspection (you be the judge).  Trunk floor, floor pans, rocker panels, lower quarters, lower door skins and lower fenders need repair. Many parts that were destined for this project car are also for sale either as a package deal with the car or will sell parts separately.

The following parts are from 65 Parisienne convertible.  Two front fenders with minor rust perforation lower rear but otherwise clean and solid.   $125 each, negotiable if sold with car.   Excellent condition front and rear red vinyl bench seat interior from Parisienne convertible with very, very good front and rear interior door panels.  Left and right front kick panels in fair condition.  Complete dash (fair to average condition), non-tilt steering wheel and column in good working condition, all electrical present.

Also have GM 65-70, 12 bolt full size rear (for rebuild, gear set unknown) not from the donor Parisienne.  Believed to be from a 68 Chev Impala.

Offenhauser dual quad for Pontiac 455. *SOLD*

This Laurentian post car project was going to be turned into a nostalgia drag car, with dual quad Pontiac 455 and mini-tubbed (thus the narrow-er rear seat from a convertible) but ran out of garage space and realistically I need to spend more time on my other cars.

This car is rough but saveable as a project car, likely not worthwhile as a restoration candidate.

This car is rough..... but saveable as a project car

likely not worthwhile, as a restoration candidate.

Looks like theres lot of parts for 500.00   (rims-bumper cores- grille etc... )

I'm a little (lot) confused by the description of  project car vs restoration?

If it can't be restored then what makes its a project?  just wondering

Well, to me....restoring the car would be taking it back to factory appearance/condition or close to it. I don't think it would be worthwhile trying to restore it back to stock. Too much needs to be replaced/repaired. I've seen guys take much worse and restore it but at some point I think you have to question the dollars required to return it to stock appearance. Just my opinion but I think it needs too much to "restore" it. I do think though that as a project car, one destined for the drag strip for instance, as a nostalgia-type drag car.....or as a "beater" that is driveable but certainly not a "correct" stock restoration, it would be worth saving. Now, that being said, if someone was willing to spend the money required to take it back to near factory condition I'd be tickled pink! I agree that the 2 door post cars are very hard to find.....and near impossible to find in good condition.
