finally working gas gauge

have not had a working fuel gauge for the last 2 years.

1st problem was incorrect fuel sender (90 ohms instead of 30 )

this may have screwed up original gauge (would not return to empty when off)

2nd problem seemed to be bad connections on the posts on the gauge, i suggest

removing the nut and clean under the post as well as the post itself.

here is a video and pics, i had a nova cluster and had to paint the grey part of the hand as well.

one on left is replacement on right is my old gauge which liked to always said full (but that was a lie)

Well it is about time. 2 years for a retired guy to fix his gas gauge cmon. You were too technical with it figuring all those ohms and stuff. Well now you can do even longer road trips.

Yeah, Dan, you don't need lights neither unless you drive it at night. Have to give you a hard time. 2 years, I wouldn't have told anybody.

my old one never dropped to the bottom when i turned it off, think this one was from a 65 nova but the numbers matched and it drops.
as long as it works im fine with that.
