Here's a question for you info guys that might know. Under the hood of this 68 it has grills at the top near windshield, yet my 68 which is original doesn't....hmm anyone know why?

You know I really hate to be picky-BUT- if I was to put a BB in a prev '69 GM I would at least used a short water pump with all the appropriate bracketry.But that's me of course. My wife say's I'm a little too anal-I say it's just going that extra mile to make it look correct. Like I said,I hate to be picky........Regarding the hood,it looks like it appears to be an SS hood for '68.I think '69's are different.

I'm not too sure about 68's but my 70 SS never had the grills either which was correct for the year. However, I installed them only because it gave the car a 'finished' look that I preferred.
I still think it looks better with them than without...to each their own though.....
