yes I have resto pics but I have no way to post them, all the floors, half the firewall, both quarters, both front windshield rails and every screw, nut and bolt were replaced.

Ya, I was thinking they'd be taken by a "film" camera (pre 2005). It would be a lot of work to scan them. Thanks anyways.

Not only does this car look killer, it is super inspirational to guys like me who from time to time get down about a few blemishes or bubbles in their over 40 year old dream car. My vision is to have a super clean ride like this one and I'm pretty sure I'm lucky enough to be able to avoid at least a bit of this quote from the owner.......

"The complete firewall, front and rear floors, the trunk floor (added a 4 mini tub to the inner fenders), both full quarter panels and the windshield pillars were all replaced due to rot. I walked almost every swap meet for 5 years to get all the small trim pieces and still ended up having the majority of them rechromed/repaired.

Great job on the resto and re-engineering of a great car!!

Congratulatins Chris. I enjoyed seeing your beautiful car at your home and meeting your lovely wife. A picture of your car and my 64cs from last summer.

The Malibu clip is such an easy and economical swap. They are pre-metric until 1980, I used a '78/79. You get the benefit of disc brakes, late model steering, cheap parts as these frames (G Body) were interchangable and an easy way to install a big block! I have about $3000 total in my front suspension all new including tubular "A" arms and it will lighten the front end and allow for an engine setback (about 3" in my case).

Yes Bernie it will work, doing the same mods as I did with my '66. As an owner of a first and second generation you have to be prepared to part with the original front suspension in favour of improved handling and stopping. Something the original suspension left much to be desired!
