thanx for posting pictures Carl Frame should be ready next week for blasting & powder coating. Body is close to being ready, next is doors fenders hood and trunk lid. Then I`ll be on the bug for templates of moldings and emblem holes.
Wow Good job amazing what a lot of time and a lot of money can do
Carl, this is an original white / orange stripe delete car
Great to see! (Pardon my ignorance but... I'm guessing they were all "stripe delete cars" in '66?)
PS What colour interior?

Oh yes, the green framed car ... I remember it now! You put a couple new rear body mounts on the frame as well ... did the same on my spare frame this summer.
Great work!

That's some good progress, that will be a very nice car when done.

ya, he needs to see it - we'll take it for a ride one day -- its actually just down Montrose in Mt Carmel
What month should we slot it in for the feature car Kevin? I know, we'll say April and then you can be under the gun like on those reality shows..
oh no pressure, bottom of car will be painted, frame finished and the 2 mated then there is a Camero that needs to be done so lets cross our fingers for May, I hope
Looks really good, if you have the resources it can sometimes be nice to start with a project so you are not afraid to disassemble it completely to end up with a really nice product!
If you get a chance could you take some pics or measurements to show where the four speed floor pan conversion is located, it is kind of a funny shaped piece, I'd like to have a good idea where it is located fore and aft before I go hacking up my car!! How were they attached to the floor originally?

they were spot welded in place and thats how this one went back in. The repop humps almost push into place with the shape of the floor. We took loots of measurements plus I have other four speed cars to check. If you can install drive line with shifter and console you can move things around to a happy place where shifter clears all then nail them down. We over restored the hole in the floor with a smooth edge instead of factory correct hack job lol. Also used seam seal under the hump as well as on top.
