1963 Acadian Beaumont Convertible odometer: 95468 VIN: 3846703912 automatic transmission

One of approx 200 made. Canadian ver. of Chevy Nova 11. 2nd owner.
Original 194cc/Srght 6/ Shiftglide/
Recent new gas tank/shocks/drums
Can no longer store dry - needs a new home.

this is the info i got on 63's from GM none were V8's (not available till 64)
there were 1,644 converts made and there was no break down between beaumonts
and SD.
Jim we will have to get together one of these times

hi jim here i have some info you might like when i registered my 63 2 dr ht with the canadian pontiac registy they sent me this bit of info there were 17,871 acadian beaumonts built that year of that , 1,658 were v/8 convertibles and 3 convertibleswere built with 6 cylinder engines that leaves 16,210 beaumonts in the form of 2 dr posts, 4 dr sedans , station wagons and hard tops . i also have info from g m of canada that says that they only built 2,029 model number 8437 2 dr sport coupe,s i hope this tid bit helps. hi lefty some day i would like to meet you and your car . my car is still at the paint shop should be ready by june

Checked this one out today, pretty rough
should be blue (paint code C or G )

all chrome is there but pitted, except the chrome on bottom edge of doors and fenders
major rust in rails quarters have been poorly patched.
rust showing in wheel wells and top of fenders.
seats are there but need to be re-done
top is there (manual) and needs replacing
price seems high but it is a rare model and could be easily brought back to life
if you can do it yourself

hi lefty sorry i have not been on here in a few days . the info that i gave , i got from the canadian pontiac registry , back in april of 2003. at that time i registerd my 63 . i am wondering if they might have ment to say there were 1,658 convertibles with 6 cylinders, as that is pretty close to the number you gave of 1,644 and as for the v-8s none till 64 . the document that i got from GM of canada said that they made 2,029 model number 8437 -2 dr sport coupe,s for sale in canada. i hope this helps some . lefty my car should be painted and reasymbled by july and i would love to show it off to all of you guys . i will try to post some pics soon jim :~)

pictures would be great..
turns out this one was originally white then painted blue, then back to white.
could not get under it but from what i saw was in repairable shape but not easy to fix.
someone could make a really nice car if they can do it themselves.
