Stargate Atlantis production movie Camaros for sale

My son owns and wishes to sell his three '78-80 Camaros that were used in the filming of the second last episode of the Stargate Atlantis television series. These are the three remaining actual cars used in the filming and can be seen on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgWPpG1juMc or you can do a search on Youtube for Stargate Atlantis Solitary man. We believe thatthere was one other car that was used but it seems that may have been destroyed before these three were brought to the Okanagan to fil the final scenes of the episode called "Vegas". One car runs and drives fine, the second production driver turned a crank bearing during filming but it remains intact and complete. It failed to start at one point during filming and the production company replaced the starter, alternator and battery - just to be sure that the problem was fixed. That car runs but it does need some bottom end work. The third car is the car that is destroyed by machine gun fire and comes complete just as seen in the video. That car was supposed to have been crushed at the end of filming but my son bought it from the scrap dealer and saved it just because it is what it is and it is the only one like it on the planet. And besides, it completes the trio. It is sans engine and transmission of course and the wiring for the small explosive charges to replicate the bullets hitting the car is still in the car. Aside from some different wheels for storage purposes ( he has the original older style Camaro rally wheels that were on the cars during production ), the cars are just as they were at the end of the filming. He also has photos of himself on the production set with the one Camaro and the shows main character, Joe Flanigan ( Lt. John Shepherd ) and production company letterheads that will go with the three cars if they are sold. It was petty cool watching the filming of the final scenes in the desert which were done about three miles from where we live. The reason for selling the cars is that Matthew ( our favorite middle son ) has moved out of the area and he wishes to downsize his Camaro and Firebird collection which is stored here at ho. Two of the cars are presently stored under cover and the third is outside but will be also placed in enclosed storage in the next several weeks. He is asking $2500.00 for the three cars as they sit and that is about what he has invested in them. As his dad, I am trying to help him out and thought that I'd see if anyone on the site has any interest in the cars given their history. The photo that is attached is the only one that I have of the three cars together but I can get more if anyone is interested. Thanks for viewing this ad.
