That orange R/T looks like it actually does have hidden headlights, but they are frozen open. body coloured bumpers are a nice feature.  That louvered hood is what the R/T came with if you didn't pop for the Ramcharger hood. The R/T came standard with a 440 4-barrel & a Torqueflite.

It would be an awesome car after a restoration but it has a lot of work needed. A labor of love for sure.

You're right about the hidden headlights.  Guess I should look more closely at the pics.  confuse

Still don't believe that it is coded for elastomeric bumpers but they could have been added.  My thoughts were that they were just painted to cover over the rust and bad chrome, as I've seen done many times before as it's cheaper than chrome.

I agree that it would be an awesome car when done, if somebody has 50 grand in their pocket to throw at it.

Sorry for the Mopar talk on a GM board... biggrin

This site has also dedicated more pages to certain Ford products, which is way worse in my books. no

Sorry about dredging this topic back to the top.

I'm doing so, as I'm interested in finding this car. As it turns out, the original engine for my 1971 Charger R/T was swapped into this car a very long time ago.

So, I'm on a quest to track it down!

If anybody knows where it went...I've love to have the information.

Here's that same car back in 1982.
