This is the lever that attaches to the electrical switch and activates the power top (Conv.) or tailgate window (Sta- Wgn).  Both the power top and power tailgate windows were an option, not included with any model or option package.

I owned a 62 Chev. Nova Conv. built in Oshawa with the power top option.  None of the 62 Chev. Nova Conv. built in the U.S. had the power top option.  I believe the 62 Acadian Conv. could also be ordered with the power top option.

In 1963, the only other conv year all the Acadian, Nova, SS and SD's could be ordered with the power top option.

All 62-67, Chev II & Nova Station Wagon's built in the U.S. or Canada and all Acadian Station Wagon's with the power tailgate window used this part.

My current 62 Acadian Station Wagon has one for the tailgate window.

The white wagon is one of the few I will not paint Orange.  But I call this new one "Inferno" as it is a last year color "Inferno Orange".

I needed a convertible to drive while in Florida and this 2013 just happened to be left over in a dealer's inventory with 37 miles on the odometer.  I shipped it down here and rolled 108 on the odometer today.  68f here today and going to 80f tomorrow.

Well I'll do what I can.  It is 72 right now at noon and Monday here will be about 80 for a high.  We pretty much get the same weather as Miami and even Key West with the trade winds blowing the warm gulf air it also keeps insects away.

Enjoy the cruise.
