Looks like a nice ride for the price.

I agree, Pontiac did do a great job of using the full size styling in the GTO!!

 .

.........it was actually available only on northern cars to sense cold heater temp in the passenger compartment.  The cold hose temp was transmitted via the coil spring to the auto fast idle which would kick in to speed the motor up to warm the engine up quicker.

Rarely seen on the prairies because the cold tended to snap that spring steel so people just used a snow brush on the accelerator pedal to run the fast idle for warmup. That's why prairie cars often had power seats, it's easier to adjust the snow brush on the pedal with the power seat vs the manual seat.

I had a 66 Parisienne when I was in my early twenties, that came with a smashed up front end. I bought a Grande Parisienne for a parts car and put the front end on. Loved the look of those grille mounted turn signals. One of my high school buddies just sent me a picture of my old car from a camping trip over thirty years ago.

As I recall, on mine it was the antenna for the factory two way radio. All the "deep country" cars came with them :)

Hey Carl, that sure looks like a typical 70's bush party in Ontario,,,,maybe Clinton or Seaforth?  The speakers & Back Label give it a Huron County or Oxford County look!
