Heater control mechanism

I acquired this part yesterday it it came with a box of other 66 beaumont stuff and what I was wondering is if the mock wood grain cover is a stock item or specific to that year or is it an aftermarket piece, Thanks for any input.

GTO's had essentially the same dash as the Beaumonts -except that the GTO's had a wood grain veneer. Don't know about the LeMans.
I'd say this is a GTO piece but strip the wood grain and it's Beaumont.

(edit to fix typos)

Hello again and thank you for your input. The mechanism part of the controls are the same as my 65 SD Controls, however, the knobs are turned 90 degrees to these ones I am assuming after 65 they changed, also where the words are written they are on a chrome strip,my original is not, just the word tops are chrome. The wood grain cover plate is removable and has the original finish underneath. I think I might use the shiny one over the original it looks a little nicer. The jury is still out on the wood grain look.

I've never seen a 66 Beaumont, SD or not, with wood grain dash.  Correction, I've seen one & the owner admitted he'd added the repro veneer.

My 65 GTO, and the 66 & 67 GTO's of friends had the wood grain.

Has anybody seen an original 66 Beaumont with wood grain?

I almost ordered the veneer kit for mine. I liked the wood grain in the GTO's and it's a pretty easy upgrade. Ames carries a complete wood grain kit & it's real wood as I recall - all precut, just glue & apply. I decided not to when I learned it was never offered in a Beaumont. Still like the look though.
I don't know about 68-69's. They're too modern for me. j/k

So iv read the brochures and any info I have, it looks like your controls are from GTO/Lemans, 68 SD had wood grain, 66/67 SD didn't
