I stopped to see this

its actually pretty cool - the sides are aluminum and could be polished nicely - not very desirable but kinda neat -- or pull the big block and use it as a storage shed ! I'm going to have to think about it - would be neat clean up finished inside

Wow, if it was here, I'd buy it and park it at the lake for a guest cabin. What a bargain...

.....it's got a 454, probably a turbo 400 , a big rad , probably a  a/c compressor , etc etc .    park it in the back and use it as a guest house or convert into a shed. It's a deal, go grab it.

If nothing else you could buy it and re-sell it in the spring for a tidy profit.

How often do you hear these words strung together?

"$1000. 50,000 mile big block. Drive it home."

Why is it still for sale?

Kijiji: NEED GONE TODAY !!

I'd just tear out the engine & whatever is worthy out of it, and scrap the rest.

I posted the spec above and again here:

1974 LB1 454 with 4 Barrel Carb
Max Brake Horsepower - 240@ 4000 rpm
Max Torque - 400 @ 2800rpm
Stroke - 4.00
Bore - 4.251
Compression - 8.5:1
Firing Order - 18436572

1974 or not that is net horsepower and net torque, mathematically translated to Gross data it's 345 HP and 550 torque.

thats funny - I was thinking of you Ray when I read smogger !

I had a 3700 lbs 73 corvette with 454 / 270 net smog 400 turbo auto and 336 rear, headers spread bore holley, drove it to the track (too warm) turned 13:91 @ 102mph -------I'll take a smogger ! 400 ft lbs of torque !

MY '66 BISCAYNE HAD A 454 FROM A '75 CAPRICE. ADDED HEADERS, EXHAUST, INTAKE AND CARB., IT WAS NO SLOUCH.

Same thing goes for my 83 454 LE8 version (LE8 cast from 1973 to 1991 and used in Chevy and GMC trucks so this motorhome probably has this same engine) Same type of set up as Mike's. I use a 600 cfm, Edelbrock Performer knock off intake, 2 1/2 " exhaust, 36 " x 2" headers.  As installed in my driveway hot rodded LeMans and reported before it walks away from a friend's 1970 440 4 speed Roadrunner, a bona fide factory muscle car.

Someone should pick this up, you can probably get it for $800 and as Carl said make money on the deal after harvesting the BBC.

should be easy - hood is between the seats to disconnect stuff - remove grille and pull it out the front I think -- Would be really cool to clean up the outside and just use it as a mobile shed - or its says it'll certify good for swap meets -- I'm concerned my neighbours won't like the look of it and I currently have my house for sale so if I move and don't have a place  to put it - but you're right - steal the engine and be done with it would be the best bet
