RE: Another 2002 GP 40th for sale $3495

i remember like it's yesterday when the Chevy dealer back in 1989 got an 87 T-Type in on trade. It had only 20000km on it. A salesman and I took it out. He said to me "Pull away slowly and when it hit's 2nd gear floor it". I did and she'd kick down and light up the tires. We had a blast!

Do you remember how much they were asking for it then Todd? I took a 86 T Type out on a test run back in 91. It had nasty detonation problems. Knock sensor or something was wrong with it, but once you learned how to feather it, they did work good.

i guess that having the  Charger with Hemi power biases me now. I felt the same about the 92 Corvette I bought about 5 yrs ago. It was stock, and didn't really seem all that gutsy after driving the Dodge.

I had an 87 GN from 1991 to 2000. I enjoyed it but traded it on a real nice 94 Impala SS and although the Impala is a lot slower, I liked it a lot more. It was more comfortable, quieter, nicer highway car and great when we wanted to take 4 people in the car. The GN could be scary if you happened to put your foot in it when you changed lanes and the boost came up at the wrong time (been there, done that, almost spun it around!)

The fun thing with a GN..

is it didn't take much to REALLY get them going..and you can buy all the GNX suspension bits aftermarket to improve the handling...

I think they were asking somewhere around 16k for the T-Type Earl. I wanted it bad. It was Maroon with the turbine wheels. No sunroof or T-roof.
The fellow who bought it destroyed it. I saw it about a year later covered in scratches, dents etc.

There's a T Type on kijiji for $17500 now. Can't see that selling. Same as the GNs that are listed around 20. They have been for sale for a year at that price.

theres a lot of bada$$ cars available for $20 k that I'd rather have. Seems a lot of people feel the same.

Well,

To be honest nothing is selling right now, unless you are willing and open to trade... and if that T Type is low mileage then it will sell.  The only issue with them is most have no idea what the car is.  As for GN's at $20K..those sell as well.. because the market price right now for a low mileage example is , like I said $25K
