This one reminds me of one from Winnipeg, Gold LS-6 with about 20,000 original miles that was for sale for $13,000 circa 1980? Memory recalls a 4spd but not certain. Woulda Shoulda Coulda. I would have abused it BADLY!!!!!

I also remember a Yellow ( maybe Gold) LS-6 for sale in Winnipeg back then... Same car ?  . Car was from MacGregor MB  and I believe it had a paint delete code . It sold at a car auction I was at ( Highlander Curling Club ) . An American bought it.

That missed opportunity has haunted me since

What a shame, that a car like that, is in storage...

Even sitting in a garage where owner could enjoy looking at it, would be better...    and never will be for sale

I could not understand that, until I realized my wife is like that

She has 3 rooms full of stuff she treasures ?     She never touches the stuff...  but God help me if I move something  She admits its her sickness

When she dies there will be stuff not touched for over 40-50 years     Same as my old Strato Chief   locked away forever  disbeliefdisbeliefdisbelief

only 3 LS6 convertibles with Canadian docs so I hear. In the US the L78 convertibles are the rarest

sold the interior for that car maybe 10 years ago. I recall it being a bench seat car. I believe at the time it was in the Thunder Bay area or maybe just west of there

Good morning Rick,
Richard from Canada. I happen to have one of only three documented Canadian LS6 Convertibles! The car is in excellent shape and is going to be fully restored. If you guys are interested I would be happy to send you a copy of the General Motors of Canada documentation. It may help with build dates and options etc. This car is a very rare Desert Sand Mettalic paint with a black convertible top and black interior. Oh by the way it is an M-22 car as well. Let me know if you want our Canadian paperwork!
Richard.

In 1996 I located for a childhood friend a 26,000 mile LS6 auto silver with black vinyl- Colorado car that spent its life in Calfornia until being imported to Canada (1989) the car was built in Arlington - extremely nice but did have a repaint - he paid $25,000 U.S. ($34,000 CDN) at the time -- I can honestly remember lots of people telling me what an over priced car it was and how bad I was for putting my friend onto it - he sold it three years later for $41,000 - it then got sold to Legendary who wanted $80,000 for it then sold it and took it back in on trade in again several years later then asking $110,000 for it - the car was at Cayuga with Dream car garage and used at the start of each show - was a feature (centerfold) in Muscle Car review 1989

has to be the one I was looking at Legendary back in 05. They were asking $89,000. I had it all opened up with a sale guy when someone with his sales guy came from the back and asked if I was buying the car. My sales guy said he is giving it a good look. The other sales man said then please close it up its sold. This guy bought it, a black L78 Nova and one other car. Gave up on the LS6 and I put my name down for a new 07 Shelby

same car, If I now remember correctly they had it three separate times - the L78 Nova I believe it the one member 'Darcy' has now out west

As per my Ontario DMV paper work, Legendary owned my L78 Nova March 22 1999, and then was re-registered by the owner I bought it from April 8 1999. I bought the car in 2009 and brought it to Alberta.

So if there was a black L78 Nova in 2005 at Legendary, it must of been a different one. You might be able to go on Legendary's website and look thru past sold cars

Matt,

So where did this L78 Nova go to? Got pictures? You seem to have a lot of rare Vintage GM doc's.

I remember sometime around the 2001 looking on Legendary's website and them having a black L78, you could play the exhaust sound I believe. It sounded great. I was still a little wet around the ears about these solid lifter L78 cars!

Thanks for the info
