I have not done the conversion using an aftermarket kit but I'm told this won't work. The spindle is supposedly unique to first gen Acadian/Nova.

Strictly what I'm told though, nothing to prove it.

I agree with the statement that everything EXCEPT the spindles in the kit would work for you and you can easily machine your drum brake spindles to work for the discs as that article states. I haven't done it but I talked to a man in Winnipeg who did.

I was assuming you wanted to use the entire kit on your Acadian and I'm sure the spindle in the kit won't work.

That would all fit if you machine your spindle and if it's original GM stuff I bet the quality is no contest.

Is the rail rusty right back by the bumper brace/bracket?

Do you have a good piece of rail to put on?

The other thing to watch out for is the track width with these kits, some are 3/4 per side or 1 1/2 overall

Not necessarily, rotors has a diff backsets between hub face and berring race, I would think it depends on what rotor there using on the kit. Measured spindle on 57 and 66, the same. So far all I can find in the differance is the center of spindle to backing plate brake shoe anchor bolt. Cant remember what rotors I have on 57, but think they might be 7? ventura. wich increased my track width, best to check first nod.gif Will do a bit more research and see what I can come up with, but from what I've heard these kits increase your track width.

CPP makes a 0 offset brake setup and KMS is a distributor for them. Only problem is that when you need a rotor you have to buy from them.

I know on full size disc setups they do ... by 3/4" - 7/8" outboard each side.
