The contacts in the turn signal switch may become corroded and cause a poor connection. If you have a spare signal switch, plug it in at the base of the steering colume and try it before disassembling.

Sounds like a poor connection creating resistance once it gets hot, check the turn signal switch main connector and main connection where the rear harness connects under the left side of the dash. Possible turn signal switch as well. Could also try wiggling the connectors when the problem is occurring, hold brake pedal down and have someone watch the brake lights while shaking all the connectors, maybe you can get the lights to flicker and pin point it that way.

I had an intermittent signal issue last year in the Invader. I replaced the flasher when I put the car on the road. So less than a year and my signals started to mess up. I was about 300 km's from home so I didn't have any diagnostic tools. I thought it might have been my turn signal switch but I took a chance and bought a $9.00 electronic flasher at Crappy Tire.
Problem solved.
think i found the problem yesterday. Seems to be in the connectors under the steering column
I have to find a way to clean the contacts and then use some compound on them
did a hr drive today and they are still working.
