Hei conversion

I have a 1980 1 ton tow truck 350 standered in my TREASURE collection behind the house

If I simply install this hei into my parisienne

how far off would I be with the ignition curve?

It looks like it has heavy springs and weights

and the vacuum has a 10 stamped on it

My thinking is they both have 350 4 barrels

they are both heavy

will it work well? or be close enough?

A better option?

....it should work great. I kinda did the opposite : 74 1 ton tow truck 350 4bbl 4 spd, pitched the point/cond and stuck in the HEI dist , just timed it 4 degress ( I think, it was long ago! ) and it works flawless. So it should be very good in your pontiac. I would reccomend a new set of spark plugs , even set to 045 if you bend the tip enough , as now you have a stronger spark with more fire so a better burn and might even see more mpg.
