Yes the station is right across the street! It is a really good looking car up close. Straight body, good lines, chrome is excellent as well as paint.
If anyone is interested in a 56 this one is worth a look.

That's a nice one! CP member Speelman has his for sale here in PEI. It looks quite good too. I pass his house every day on the way to work.

It s amazing what you see parked around here and at Cruise Nites in London! The Thursday night one at Plunketts really brings out some rare and seldom seen iron Todd. I might go with our buddy Wayne tomorrow.

Bill Mallete restored this car. He even got the air cleaner decal reproduced and a few were sold on this site to some members of CP. This is a really nice car and Bill did a lot of work to get the car like this. The rear backup lights are 57 Chev front signal light housings with a metal adapter to mount to the rear quarter panel  and repo plastic lenses with original chrome retainer rings.Bill went with the plastic lenses because the original glass lenses were too fragile prone to cracking. When Bill sold the car a lot of the spare and duplicate parts were sold by me at the  Barrie fall meet.

I like it! You could never build a car for that kind of money. She looks real sweet and the only thing i would do is put the stock wheel covers back on her. I hope she goes to a good home.

I was waiting for someone to comment on the wheel dressing choice. I like that '61 style of hub cap with rings on the car, there is a lot of chrome on the car and this hub cap looks perfect in my opinion. I like that hub cap style so much I have a few NOS sets on my shelf just in case. It just goes to show that wheel selection is such a personal choice and does have a big effect on how a car looks from one guy to the next. I really like that car, propabaly has something to do with the fact that Grandpa had one in white and robin egg blue that I would often get rides to and from school in, good memories.

I like those hubcaps too Ray. I would probably just pop off the trim rings and drive it like that. I realize this being a chromed out Laurentian  it likely was delivered with the full wheel discs but the smalls look fine to me.

I was lucky enough to get one of the air cleaner decals from Bill!  I have had more comments from spectators at shows/cruises about it and it originality!  It really finished the detailing nicely on my 261 engine in the 58!  Bob.

I checked my 56 Pontiac Fact Finder and the Laurentian series did have a " Bright new stainless steel wheel disc". Surprisingly the disc is very close in appearance to the hubcap that is on the car. The other two series had the small hubcap the same as the 55's
