Sure bet it wasn't during the winter months. Heaters in those  old ones were brutal.

My Grandpa had a 54 Meteor Niagara sedan when I was a kid. It ran like a Swiss watch. He was a Certified mechanic/Machinist who's favorite engine for hotrodding was Ford Flatheads. He also owned his own machine shop and did high performance work on them. It sure got rusty though. The tops of the front fenders were rotted bad around the headlights. Still ran perfect till he scrapped it.
