You would think she would be gone in a couple of days after the ad went in. It would serve no purpose to offer any less than the asking price. Unless of course we are all missing something here.......... hmmmmm. Any way........... I LIKE IT.

I wonder where the car was built (i.e. U.S. or Canada). The factory offered the 454 in 345 & 390 horse ratings that year, both with 10.25:1 compression. It doesn't say if it is an original big block car with the original block.

Looks like it has a '69 highrise intake manifold on it, and it's a drum brake car.

I love the lines on these cars (although I prefer buckets and console).
Is it any wonder that many of the rich folk collect cars... how could you not?

I thought disc brakes were on the front, drums in the back........were in the two 1970 Chevys I owned.

Believe it or not, disk brakes were not standard with a 454, HOWEVER disk brakes were newly standard for 1970 on the Impala Custom Coupe (like this car) and all models of the Caprice including Kingswood Estate wagons. Remember that the drum brakes on the big cars were 11", not the small 9.5" of the GM intermediates.

Those were the two cars I had, Impala Custom Coupe and a Caprice (both with 350's) I seem to remember the disc brakes for them

were specific to 1969 and 1970...weren't they bigger than disc brakes that came in full size Chevys after 1970?

My keen eye says this is a 4 wheel drum brake car as I think there's a couple things missing for a disc brake car.   If anyone looks at the car please check to see if I'm right.

My 70 Biscayne was 4 wheel drum. Stopped great. The best $750 car I ever owned
