There was a 73 Caddy limo in the local junk-yard earlier this summer.  I was away for a couple weeks, and when I went to get a couple things from it I couldn't find it.   I talked to one of the workers who confirmed they crushed it already.  He said he was almost in tears as it was actually in really nice shape, and had plenty of usable parts on it.

I would want to see proof of ownership as Trudeau's limo was quite famously known as the Silver Bullet. It was a 75, painted silver. This may have been the trade in or another MP's ride.

Even if PET didn't use it Gov't of Canada registration will be easy t o trace. Its a pretty bad a$$ car for less than $15k don't you  think?

I'm surprised a Quebec or Ontario Trudeau fan hasn't snapped this up.   Don't think there's much of a market for a Trudeau car here in Alberta.

 Yes Ray I think its a great car......but limos are not an easy sale unless they have proven famous provenance and sell to a museum or superfan of the owner.

It would be a great family ride if you can afford the gas!

 Clint, no kidding about your Alberta remark but you would be surprised how many P.E.T. haters are here in Ontario as well. I being proudly one of the haters but here we go derailing this thread. I was never a fan of this era Cadillac but at least it is survivor. I honestly do not think it being Trudeau's car will help sell it in any way. Cheers. George

Not a lot of love for him in Quebec either, despite his role in ending the FLQ crisis. Many Quebecois felt sold out in the constitutional stuff in 1982.

Is there any fuddle duddle in the ashtray? Can you steer with just one certain finger? (Okay, I'm done)

Well,

There should be either documentation showing it as a government fleet vehicle or by taking the VIN to a GM dealer they should be able to tell you who owned it.. unless FOIP laws preclude them from giving that information.

 Just make sure you got real good aim and get the wimp not the car. Keep in mind the car does not plan on doing the country any harm, just the wimp.
