That would have been about the hottest setup anyone would buy save for the 40 or so 409 cars.

Doing previous research using the registry I found that there were 4,246 1965 Parisienne Custom Sports made and 12% of those had a 327 that's a little over 500 cars with 327, whats our best estimate of 4 speed? I'll say 25% so you are looking at about 1 of 130 cars imo.

How did I miss that ad???!!!

A/C? I don't think it's factory on a Canadian Pontiac in 65.

Do you have inside shots? A factory 4 speed car would have a tach.

Sounds like a great deal.

My GMVVS documents show that for the 576637 series cars ( 65 Parisienne Custom Sport hdtp 8 cyl ) there were 9878 made.

Carl, im surprised you missed it.  there were inside pics, 4 speed, console,  had 3 accessory swithches under dash pad,  perhaps a reverb or P antenna?  is was sure a great deal, im sure it sold within hours,  yes it has what appered to be a factory tach hanging of the left of the dash pad.

I wonder if it was last weekend. I was at the lake Fri/Sat/Sun.

In that case it is one of less than 300. My bad the 4,246 must be convertibles.

There is a guy on northern Vancouver Island that has or had, 3 of these 4sp cars amongst some other full size 65's.  At least one 4sp is a Custom Sport convertible now boasting a 502.  Another was a 2dr bench seat car but don't remember what the 3rd was.  Also has a beautiful Grandville convert, not sure of the year..... 70 maybe.  I bought some 65 parts from him and saw these cars and believe some were even sequential serial nos.

This is the same guy that recently sold his vast 65/66 parts collection to Tin Man.

Grandvilles are some of the least produced GM Convertibles from 71-75, less than 1,800 in 1971 so this would be a very nice and collectible car, 455 power standard too (except 75) 75 was the most plentiful at about 4,500 as buyers heard that it was the last year for convertibles.

When I was a teenager a buddy had a 65 CS convertible that was a 327 4 speed. Red on red, loaded. Cant remember what 327 it was, a 275 or 300hp but it was pretty fast, and he drove it hard. Always powershifting, gettin rubber into 2nd occasional chirp into 3rd. By the end of the summer he bought it it was hurtin bad. Lots of smoke, clutch gone tranny whining and bondo bubbling up.
Man, those were the days!

Thanks Ray. It was likely the 300 hp engine. It was strong and felt stronger the higher the rpm. When it ran against a 68 SS 427 Impala convertible it took a long time for the Impala to gain a car length lead. Where as the base 327 that was far more common back in the day didnt have that high rev sound or pull like that particular one did.

Hey guys, I'm the guy who had the car and sold it. Yes it was rare and everything on it was as originally purchased. I had the orig invoice from Dickson motors in Wpg as well as the orig build sheet. It was in great shape with a bit of cancer but nothing serious. The frame and floor pans were all in good shape. It just needs a good home. The person who bought it, Mike Gushulak, said that he will do it up right and bring the ole girl back to life. Isn't that all we "car crazy" guys can ask, keep another treasure from the wrecker.I'm disipointed that I had to sell, I knew I had a great car and something special. There are very few that come up for sale and especially one with the options this had including the history. PS- I suggested that Mike join your group as he may need your help. Take care.

Thanks
