Seems to me that someone in Ontario was advertising a 54 Pontiac, originally from NS, on kijiji.

Thanks Ted.  smile

I did a search for it and it is indeed still listed (see below).  So, in an effort to help out a worthy cause, I emailed the person looking for an ambulance to see if they were aware that it was listed.  This is the reply I got:

"Hello Mark,

We would love to have that ambulance and we believe it could be the oldest surviving NS ambulance around. We have tried to work out a purchase price but the owner feel that it's worth a mint. It's not running and the frame is rusted and questionable and he still wants a price of a fully restored 50's Pontiac. It's sad that this car will rust in a field in Ontario. We sent someone to take pictures of it so we can have some record of it.

We are hoping to find something in the maritimes that we can restore and a reasonable owner."

Looks like another case of Barrett Jackson fever, where the owner would rather let it rot into the ground than to see somebody restore it and share a piece of automotive history with the public.  Makes me sick, actually.

I told him I would keep my eyes open and let him know if I see anything around that might work for them.  If anybody here knows about one, drop them a line as I'm sure they would appreciate it.
