The wagon is complete #s matching 390 horse with 8 track on floor, will post more photos later tonight when I get home.

There about 30 cars or so there, but I am 20 plus years too late to do much with them, mother nature, rolled down windows,

and mice have taken the goodness out of them, at best parts cars or scrap, real shame.

Yeah that 427 Wagon would be pretty damn cool. On the other hand if the body is pooched that motor and tranny would fit really nicely into a 2+2 or StratoChief of the same year. bwahahahaha

Inquiring minds would like to know if the cars are for sale and if so the dollar amounts for the ones you're not interested in.

Well, typical! That doesn't shock me all too much..... "There about 30 cars or so there, but I am 20 plus years too late to do much with them, mother nature, rolled down windows, and mice have taken the goodness out of them, at best parts cars or scrap, real shame." That long roof will continue to house many a mouse... like a castle to them...

The ole, "one of these days" song and dance I'm sure.... Like you said, shame.... hmm

In theory they were, but generally they were neither promoted or stocked. It took some bux to import one into Canada as a new car before the Auto Pact was fully implemented. I have seen a 65 GTO that was sold new in Canada, but most people would wince at the ante and simply go for the locally made iron (Beaumont Sport Deluxe etc.) GTOs were very rare in Canada prior to 1969.

------when the 66 GTO debuted York Mills Pontiac had about 5 or 6 lined up on their lot and Hogan Pontiac on the Danforth

was advertising in the Toronto Star to come down and test drive one..........I remember Hogan had a 64 GTO Beige 2 door post

that had been traded......that was fall 65 - maybe traded on a 66 -

I would agree that 64 & 65 GTOs were rather rare. But 1966's up seemed to be more common at  least in this part of Ontario. I remember in the early summer of 66 looking at Sinclair Pontiac / Buick who had 6 or 7 on the lot; one a Blue convertible plus there was a Red convertible in the showroom. A future business customer bought a RED tri power convertible not sure from which dealer, which he later traded on a 67 rag. London Motor Products quite often ran GTO's at the drags.  I had a guy tell me that he paid about $800.00  more  for a GTO, than a SS Chevelle would have cost.

Did any of you guys ever hear of Belmont Chevrolet/Pontiac in Toronto back in the day? Heard they ran a 4 speed 427 '66 Strato Chief which was a regular at Niagra Falls dragway.

Sinclair Pontiac-Buick ran a 427 4 speed Strato Chief in '68. I worked with a fellow named Doug Crellin. He worked at Sinclair in '68 and tells me they had more than one 427 4 speed Strato Chief. One of them was campaigned at St. Thomas Dragway to compete with the 427 Biscayne Central Chev had. He bought that Strato Chief and brought a photo of it to work to show me. Doug now works at Exeter Toyota. I'm sure he'd love to talk about those days to anyone who stops in there. He's a really nice guy. I think he still owns a late 60's Corvette.

Belmont sponsored Lance Hill and his Camaros........some here know Lance and his very successful drag racing career.
(Doubt if Belmont Chev would have put their name on a Pontiac.)

I knew Lance then and still stay in touch.......I was also a regular at Niagara thru the mid 60's with several different
Corvettes and don't remember any big block Strato Chiefs running there on a regular basis, maybe occasionally
as a private runner. We had a Niagara re-union in 1996 and the pics have been posted on several web sites but
again don't remember any Strato Chiefs running regularly.

Cool! Can you ask Lance next to you speak to him if indeed the white Camaro convertible was a Indy pace car at one time? Sorry to bug you with all this, though hearing from legendary door slammer drag racers is way cool to me more than an NFL star, thanks, Raj.
