Just heard about the bulletin, to all my friends, we will continue to offer the most concise vehicle documentation available, I am not retiring. I don't want to sit in a chair all day watching TV, or sitting at Tim's drinking coffee ( sorry Tim ). Keep on calling us for your old car needs, and a Merry and safe Christmas to all! young george

427carl, about that cash, I am ready to talk! heh heh just kidding!

Official company line:
despite the GM decision to no longer contract our services Vintage will continue to provide customers with the same products it has over the past 23 years.

My thoughts:
My interest in cars started around 1965 when Ford was introducing the Ford GT to race at LeMans, always wanted to sit in one, I finally got my dream a few weeks ago with a chance to sit in my friend's newly aquired 2006 Ford GT, had to see what it was like with those overhead door cutouts, all I can say is that the wait was worthwhile! I followed Jim Hall with his Chaparrals after that, read every Road & Track, Car & Driver and Car Life article on racing and the road tests. I remember the Beaumont SD 396's at my local dealers lot, did not appreciate at the time how rare they were. Talked my Dad into getting a 1971 Camaro Z/28 after a string of Oldsmobiles. In the early 90's had a chance to start here at Vintage Vehicle Services, tried to build up the documentation packages to something that I would like to receive myself, and met a lot of great people both on the internet and in person. The one person I really want to thank is my boss Frank who gave me a lot of free hand and allowed me to grow and develop this side of the business, without his knowledge and guidance it may never have happened!

So again Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and stay safe and healthy!

young george

Wonderful history George and hope you can help us out for many years to come.

I have had 3 - 69 Camaros, a 69 GTO, a 69 Firebird, a 70 GTO and a 70 Z28 verified through VVS and the info was and is invaluable. The package you provided on my Oshawa delivered 69 Firebird convertible made me change the decision to hotrod/protour the car as you confirmed my suspicions that it is a 350HO. It's in storage awaiting a restoration.

Thank You,

350HO is definitely worth restoring. I admit I do appreciate the Pro Touring mods at times, but stock is my favorite because it is much harder to build a stock vehicle than a modified one, there is more attention to detail in the little things that everyone will pick at when you go to a car show!

Question for George (and thanks BTW for the great service in the past)
Can I get VVS pkg for my 1980 Indy Pace Car Trans Am still?
It was originally sold in Woodstock Ontario.

THanks again for your past help!!

At best I'm a show and shine participant. The bird is pretty tough needing floors, rear rails and full restoration and overhaul of all components. When I do get to it I'll strive for correct paint finishes but not going to the route of all the stamps and tags and stickers and and and. And I might just add 69 T/A exterior touches for a personal touch as I think a goldenrod yellow bird with black T/A stripes, hood, spoiler and air extractors would be nice.

It looks like you're in luck, this is copied from the VVS website----

Please contact us directly to make sure you receive the correct request form. Once we receive the form your request will normally be processed within one business day.
