My first convertible was in 1964, a 1955 Pontiac green and white. Believe it or not two years later I had another one that was red and white. Should have kept them.

The trunk lid open from the top! Does it have a ''rumble seat'' ?

The trunk lid swings down and has adjustable straps so that you can put large stuff in. My English Ford Prefect also has the straps. I was at a cruise night years ago and an older gentleman and I were talking about my car and he said that his Dad had one when he was growing up. His Dad modified the back of the rear seat so it would flip up so he could put long lumber in the back. Well, at the lumber yard rather than pay for delivery he flipped up the back seat and lowered the trunk lid down so it was level and loaded the car with 12 ft. 2X6 boards. The man couldnt remember how many, but as a kid he said it was lots of wood.  When he tried to drive away the front wheels came off the ground and the boards touched the ground and there they sat with the front of the car in the air. The guys at the lumber yard thought it was really funny but Dad , not so much.
