Wow, does that thing look good! But sadly, it looks like the factory air is gone out of the tires....

What part of the province did it come from?

Never mind my question, I'd say the tow truck is a pretty good clue. Looks to be Brandon area.

Man that looks solid. Looks like some new rubber and you're ready for the road, I guess plus the usual sitting maintenance issues. Great score.

Yes, I'm thinking 261 but have not verified it yet. It is in Brandon, looks like it was originally from here. Some floor rust but not major. Rear brakes are seized on. It has not ran since 1980
so hoping not too much to get fired up. Yes, I can't believe it, those tires just don't last!! It should be fun.

I sure wouldn't try starting it with the fuel that's in it! You could likely drink that stuff by now!

Does it have a dealer sticker under the trunk lock? I was trying to read it but no luck.

Nice clean find!Looks to have orig lacquer paint, at least you know theirs nothing hidden under it. Squirt some oil down the cylinders, fresh gas and points, she`ll run. Does she turn over by hand.

I drained the 12 year old varnish out of the tank of my 57 .. very easy as they had a ¼ pipe plug in the bottom of the tanks those years.  I then added about 1 gal of fresh fuel.. and pumped it through the lines,  use an electric pump pulling.. or just crank the engine over.   fresh fuel up to the carb.. and Bob is you Uncle !

purrs like a kitten after the lifters pumped up..  I did an oil change before I fired it too..

The dealer decal is from Brandon Automobiles.  An old Pontiac, Buick GMC dealer.  Not sure it was the original dealer.  Need to do a little more digging.

I have spent a couple of afternoons tearing out the interior. Floors are worse than I had hoped, but not as bad as could be. Have pretty much cut them out getting ready to be replaced.
I have not done much as far as getting it running. As mentioned, must get the old fuel out first. Haven't been under it to see if there is a drain. That would be nice. Needs hoses, plug wires, battery, antifreeze, brake work etc. Engine is so covered in oil I still have not confirmed the size. Lots to do. Had some decent weather so could work in my unheated garage. By the sound of the forecast hats coming to an end. Hope to have it on the road this summer.

The Hyundai is the wife's car. I had to leave a little room n the garage for her. My truck will be lodged outside for the time being...

You can find out by getting the GM Canada document package.
