Here it is, in all it's glory :)

With the economical 455 - 200 lbs compression. Just what every old git needs. Rolling my eyes, of course. Think I'm going through my fifth or sixth mid-life crisis.

I love your optimism, but I doubt it will sell. I don't have the patience any more to keep advertising. Once I get it around the house, there's no room in the lean-to for showing it.

On the other hand......if it doesn't sell, I'll still have it.  biggrin

1962 Pontiac Parisienne size : full-size type : convertible drive : rwd fuel : gas transmission : automatic title status : clean cylinders : 8 cylinders

condition: Project

1962 Parisienne rag top. 283 with cast iron Powerglide. Power steering, power brakes, very rare remote mirror. Is an unfinished project from many years ago. I think I have most things needed to get it back on the road again, except carpets and the dual rear antennas.
Lots of time and money have gone into this over the decades. Almost all trim has been re-chromed at some point including bumpers, side mouldings, front and rear light bezels.
If you want an interesting project, check it out.
Don't forget, this has been sitting a long time, many years. Some body work starting to bubble through again doors and lower front fenders, etc. Floor, frame and most of trunk quite solid. Comes with 14 inch rims and stock hubcaps. Needs seats re-upholstered and driver's interior door panel re-done.
Engine runs okay, but could use a good blast on the highway.
Just replaced all four wheel / brake cylinders and the master. Power brakes now working. Transmission fluid topped up and goes into gear drive and reverse. Haven't driven anywhere since the car is uninsured.
Roof not working. Power rams in place but not connected.
Numerous other pros and cons, so please ask questions.

See contact info if interested. Please, no calls after 8 pm. Early morning calls okay (after 6 am) any day.
Thanks for looking.

Wow....it's almost identical. Even got the same Astro Supremes on it that were with it when I got it. Were you in Richmond BC when you looked at that one?

Very cool.
I bet the fellow that bought it from me will do a number on it. Sounds like he's going to sink some real coin into it. Talking about body shop and interior work. If I didn't have my 65 Olds I'd have persevered with this one. I just get about six hours a week to work on a car. That doesn't cut it. The 62 Parisienne would take me another year at that rate.
They are a beautiful machine, though.
Hell, most Canadian Ponchos are beautiful :)

What puzzles me, though, is the one in your picture has the emblem on the lower front fender. Mine doesn't have that emblem on either fender, nor is there any hole for a stud, or mark from an emblem being glued there.

I was told the family had two of these cars the same, and the same person did the body work on both. I also heard that pieces from my car went on the other one, so the whole thing is just a bit of a puzzler.

The one in your pictures has a round mirror in the same location, though. Hmmm.......

Hey omp60, the new buyer just phoned me last night. He and his buddy were going over the car and they found remnants of the old hydraulic set-up. Looks like you were correct, for sure. I'm copying your pics and going to send them to him. Very cool to have these old pictures !!
