I think you guys are talking about a circuit breaker by the look of it. At least that is what is pictured above.  Yep.

As far as I have seen on GM's, there's no relay for power top or power windows until 1967 is there? The '64 Parisienne that I took the power windows out of and sent to you had that exact 20A circuit breaker in the exact same place ... it looked factory.

Exactly. Maybe I worded it wrong. I'm trying to say that 66 or older only uses a circuit breaker like your picture, either on the left pillar or firewall, 67 and newer uses that breaker plus a relay.

As usual I likely jumbled up what I was trying to say!

I understand. Makes sense. The convert doesn't have power windows, so I guess it's just a fuse for the roof circuit.

Okay, here's the lowdown.

it was the headlight switch. I pulled everything out of the dash. Thanks for the advice guys, I'd still be trying to figure how to get it apart.

So I took everything out....no wiring was damaged. I couldn't  believe it. The headlight switch plug should be changed but that's it.

I took the opportunity to clean the chrome part of the dash. You can see in the pics the minor sooty area...Well, I figured strip all the paint off. Inhink it looks great. Some areas will be painted but it will remain mostly chrome.

i will contact those that have offered me parts thru PM.

Enjoy the pics!

Thanks!

Not as bad as it could have been...nicely done.

Can you imagine a car made in the last 20 years only suffering that little damage.....not a chance.no
