66 Parisienne With 66 GP Grill

Had to go for a different avatar. Never could stand the shade of green on my 68 2+2. Think I mentioned last year, that I bought a 66 Parisienne convert in the mid eighties all smashed up. I found a 66 Grand Parisienne nose and stuck on it. Always loved the grill and turn signal look in these GP models.

You don't have to convince me it's one of the nicest front ends ever!

A beautiful sight indeed. I'll have one eventually, perhaps. I went and looked at a couple 67 GP converts a guy had for sale on CL. This was about eight years ago. The ad sounded great. When I got there, they had both been picked, and there wasn't enough parts to make one car from the both of them. I'm not sure I liked the front ends as much as 66. I can't remember quite what they looked like now. Maybe a trip to Google Images is in order later.

Been wanting to try the 68 hide ways on my car for some time (just a fan of the hideaways). Have had a few leads (including sixtywagon about a year ago) but they are hard to find in a unit. Yes, the GP grills / front ends are very cool looking.

Stacking up the house speakers and the Black Label, a trip down memory lane!

Yes, I can see the 67 GP front end is quite different. It has a unique look to it. I could drive one, I believe !!

Might go out to the valley one day and look at the fellow's 67 2+2 hardtop. Have to wait until a spot opens up, but he hasn't been able to sell it. Last price was around $2400 but the frame had some patches and I think he said he just peeled the vinyl roof off. Lots of surface rust to contend with, and both front and rear windows need to be removed and metal repaired, he said.
Stuffing is springing out of the seats, as well. Very cool cars, though.

67 2 + 2's do not look like 67 Grandes though. (no hidden headlights and different taillights)   I just happen (ahem) to have a few 67 Grandes for sale that would make one pretty near unique car though if you're starting to fantasize.

Just check out the Canadian Ponchos For Sale thread where I have conveniently located my ad at the top....

I'll take a look, but I can't imagine I'd ever go too far afield to get a car. I'm way too lazy. Still......I'm going to look !
