Top - 12 means medium blue convertible top, CC means solid Provincial White paint & the 9 means enamel (must be an Oshawa car). M40 (TH400) was offered with the 327 on the 2+2 & Grande Parisienne that year, plus all larger engines. I was thinking it may have been a big block except that I would expect L35 or L36 on the trim tag (would that be a find!). I'm going with the original L30 327. That post-69 small block, being painted GM Corporate Blue, would be a 1977 at the oldest. Perhaps the 327 with its thirst for premium leaded was yanked in favor of a fresh garden variety regular fuel 350. There's nothing wrong with that on a driver.
That car is going to need a ton of work...
