If it had some decent body panels it would be worth more. If you look at the pictures closely it appears to be very wavy, even painted in white. Rear quarter, door and bottom of front fender all look full o' cheese. Missing Chrome on a 66 Canadian Pontiac usually tells the tale.

Well, if you are working under your car, take some time to weld in some reinforcing around the rad area.wink

Interesting.... i just took a look at the ad again. I see where the fellow has downgraded some of the claims he made originally (like from MINT to fair condition) so he must be reading these posts or something. Still says it has buckets though they aren't in evidence and still stubborn on the price too.

As a person who is interested in buying a full size 60's Pontiac, Grande, 2+2 or Custom Sport I'm always looking for a decent car under the $8000 range. So I am being critical for a reason. I have an interested person in buying my T/A when spring finally gets here. But until cash is in hand I'm still a looker. I do want a solid driver, not expecting a show car.
This car isn't a candidate.

i always have a bit of a giggle when reading discussions on price here. asking price for a car like this in Oz would be anywhere from 7 grand plus. the triple black monte carlo on this forum 30 plus....its all about perspective. Given there are plenty in canada, a bit rarer here. You'd be extremely lucky to find a local 60s era car even as a wreck for this price. I drool when I see the prices on here. I would snap that monte carlo up instantly No offers here! Love the site and discussions, beauty mate!

Agree with you Phil. If those cars were down under you would get $7000.00 plus in their present condition. Paid more than 7 for my last 60 laurentian and it was a lot worse than the 66. Plus its a 4 door. We do envy you guys up there.
