Yeah, sorry I took so long!

I'm tired and actually drifted off here for a bit, sitting in my chair staring at the screen... I guess it's almost bedtime according to that.

That auction is 25 minutes from home of a full size Pontiac "collector"  (who has more B-bodies than anyone on Canada)

He will be there and buying it...   but it might be fun to watch.....

Its all about condition and who shows up to buy. Based on the very sketchy info on the ad the car may have either 100000 miles on it or 100000 kms depending on whether the guy who wrote the ad was smart enough to realize that these car's speedometers/odometers read  in miles. it also stated it has a 283 with Powerglide which is the standard engine combo on those models so it may also be likely the car doesn't have much for other options.  If it has Ontario style rust the frame is likely to be rusted so that brings the value way down. Since it apparently moves under its own steam that is good for value

That being said I hope somebody on the site goes or at least records how much it sold for and what kind of car it really was. (Pampered creampuff or out behind the barn car)  The more info the better so we can understand the value of what we have.

Like I said based on Alberta transactions that I have had a part in they aren't way up there unless they are really special, but maybe I'm just a poor salesman and maybe most of the market too!

Yes. A rusted out car that has been patched with a bucketful of plastic filler =bondo bucket or bondo wagon from the generic term for plastic filler made by Bondo.

Specifically my old 66 Parisienne Custom Sport was nicknamed that by my friends back in the 70's when it was less than 10 yrs. old and on it's 3rd body job due to rust out. The body lines on these cars are very had to replicate in a straight smooth finish and most of the time the result is a wavy look. Also the absence of the factory trim and mouldings is because of corrosion and no metal left to put it back on, or it was lost on the road when it fell off due to rust.

I'm not looking for a rusted out and  poorly repaired car that will require $10,000 worth of body work to look like a decent driver. Been there far too often.
