For sure, I'd actually pay more for a car where you can see it is original but  decrepit than one that has been "fixed". At least with the unfixed car you don't have to unfix the fix before you actually fix it. ( I'm sure that's quite clear,eh?

 Yes exactly!

an original paint car that is faded with a few minor dings is worth more to me than a freshly painted, rust repaired one. 

Thats not everyone's taste but it's mine.
