First pic from my buddy Warren of an American '69 Catalina 428 running a '68 427 Biscayne back in the day and the other of a road trip gone bad, looks like nobody got hurt except the poncho :(

Uh-oh, sure hope that Chevy with the Canadian Pontiac power (427!) caught him in the end...

Did the US 69 B body Pontiacs come with a stick? I don't think I've ever seen one newer than 68 at any of the POCI meets. Lots of 68 and older though.

Really...

Wow, I just don't ever think I've seen one in real life and I've been to POCI at least 6 times I can think of. Any of you guys ever seen one?

Well, I don't know Carl. All I can see is maybe the word "automatic" in the 1/4 window and I'm not even sure about that.

There were only two transmission choices for 69 full size American Pontiacs; 3 speed manual on the tree and three speed turbo hydramatic on the tree. Buckets were still offered on a few models, only in black and no console.

Odd that the Catalina race car only has the base 428 and not the HO, the 360 horse engine had a very mild cam, 2 bolt mains and the same small valve heads as the 400 2 bbl engine.

It's a little blurry, but it does look like "SA" on the windshield.
