Years ago I had a 60 Strato Chief with a three on the tree standard. I remember I got used to the shifting, and drove it quite a bit. Don't know if I'd still enjoy it or not. Might prefer to cut a stick shift into the floor. Hmmm.....
Love the 60 wagon wrap around back windows. Dash seems a little plain compared to the 62 63 64 dashes. Lots of chrome on those.
Funny, I was just thinking yesterday how much fun it was to shift the 3 on the tree in my old 1960 Bel Air (when it didn't bind up... lol). Would love to have another old brute with 3 on the tree - floor shift loses some character, IMHO.
My brother Craig has a 60 tudor wagon. A Laurentian. Geez now I can't find a picture of it. You could see it if you look up "Back to the 50's" under Minnesota Street Rod Association, on Utube for the 2014 event. It is rare indeed , though I heard that there is one in Kelowna BC as well.
