67 parisienne 2+2 progress

Hello All,

had my project on hold for a while but recently I have been working on it again. new trunk welded in, and a passenger floor pan, installed a new shifter, got a carpet to install in the next few days, 1/2" fuel lines and a few other things completed. I should have everything done in the next week or so, and it goes to the body man some time in july/August if all goes well.

Lots of cool cars on this pageimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Getting there one piece at a time. I'll post some more pics when the interior is done, I have to install the 4.11 gears Then it's straight to the track to see what kind of 1/4 mile time I can run..

Thanks, I took my car out for Canada day and I made it to the gas station, put some fuel in, went down the street and did a few launches and I Ripped a hole in the tube of one of my slicks.. And when I got home I realized my charging system wasn't working.. Back to the drawing board for now I need to find out whybi keep burning through alternators!

Have you checked the ground straps from the engine to the body?

If not charging properly, check the obvious things first:  Battery cables tight, fan belt tight, etc.   However, a buddy of mine with his 396 67 2+2 chased his charging problem for a while.  He ended up taking his voltage regulator and alternator in to be tested as a pair.  If I recall, he found his voltage regulator wasn't working properly.

I just cleaned up a few grounds and installed a new alternator, I am getting a good charge now finally. havent had the voltage regulator checked but that sounds like a good idea. I still have something drawing power when my ignition is turned off tho. I can hear a high pitched whine when I hook up my battery but I am having trouble tracing where it is coming from..
