I was surprised to see a solid '55 Chevy, even a moredoor, for such a low price.  Of course it will need everything, but still it seems like the prices for these cars have been through the roof for a long time.  Perhaps a sign that the hobby is on the decline?

Its a 60 yr old car in need of a resto. I think the owner is being realistic, and still may have a hard time moving it for that price. As the graying of the hobby increases due to time (that keeps marching on) the demand dwindles. so yes

 Not only that , he used the rear doors to make the front two door and sectioned the pieces back in the car, so all the sheet metal you see is from the 4 door car. Many converters use actual two door car doors. This one is outstanding.
