1968 full size big block motor mounts

Are the frame mounts different on a 1968 full size big block car compared to a small block car?

Understand the motor mounts on the block are the same just wondering about the frame mounts.

same frame mounts, big or small block

there were 2 different mounts used though, just match up the frame mount to correct engine mount

Yes, my experience has been that there are two different frame mounts and two different rubber mounts (engine mounts) and the parts book backs that up.

My small block to big block swap years ago hit a wall when I tried to put a 427 in where a small block was, and the rubber mount would not sit down on top of the frame mount no matter how hard I jumped on the 427!

Before you bolt the engine mount to the block, make sure it sits correctly on the frame mount. It should be a nice precise fit. The narrow rubber mount won't sit down on the wide frame stand no matter how hard you hit it, and conversely, the wide rubber mount will be quite sloppy on the narrow frame mount.

As far as I know you can use either the wide combo or the narrow combo, you just have to make sure the two halves mate correctly.
