1960 Laurentian barn find

Hello. Wondering if someone could head me in the right direction. I just grabbed a 1960 Laurentian from a barn here in Alberta. Been there since 1974. It is 100% complete but the mice got at the interior. I am going to order interior parts from the states but they are all listed in the US models. What vehicle should be an equivalent that I can use? The Star Chief, Catalina, Ventura? Or would any of them work? I am wanting carpet kit, headliner and seat covering. Thanks!

Welcome here. I know I speak for all of us who say we'd love to see pictures!

I am betting if you contact our sponsor at the top of the page, NOS Reproductions, they will either be able to help you out or steer you the right direction for interior if they aren't able to help.

Welcome from Canada's east coast.

It seems like 1960 Canadian Pontiacs are scarcer than the surrounding years. Yes, we like pictures!

Congratulations on your score. There are a number of members on this list that are well versed in the 60 and may even have parts. A bit more information on your car would be enjoyed by all.

With regards to upholstery, love em or hate em, SMS out of Portland Oregon can provide most any pattern supplied from an OEM. You would then need to contract someone to stitch it up for you. Expect to spend between $1200 and $2000 for the seats alone.

We do need pics of your 60.

Not sure, but will 60 Chevy stuff fit (someone here will know, I am new to the Cdn Pontiacs)? It is not going to have the Pontiac crests or logos though, but easier to find and may be cheaper.

Welcome. When I ordered parts from the states for my 1960 Pontiac Strato-Chief I ordered for a 1960 Chevrolet Biscayne. I ordered my seat cloth from CarsInc. The cloth for the seat was an exact match. If you go to: carsinc.com then click on 1958 - 1972 Chevrolet, then click on interior kits and components, then in that category scroll down to bulk material, then click on 1960. It will show samples of the cloth and vinyl. Yours being a Laurentian, maybe the Bel Air will match. I have always had pretty good luck ordering parts for a 1960 chev out of the US. Good luck and please post pictures.
Thanks,
Jake

Interior fabrics depend on how close you want to be to original.  Having owned a '60 Bel Air, I believe the pinstripe pattern on those seats wouldn't be an exact match for the Laurentian pattern, but the seat covers would fit physically.  The Bel Air pattern is conservative enough that it wouldn't stand out and probably most people wouldn't notice, however it would bother me personally but I'm funny like that.  biggrin
