Early 60's, 14" Parisienne rim question

I remember a thread long ago that a tire must be installed on these rims in a certain order ? Back first? I'm using a set for a utility trailer and would like to check first. Thank you.

That is it. Thank you Carl. I understand the rims need to be upside down on the tire machine, but why? The outer bead is larger?...?

the drop center is offset to the rear, if you do them right side up, you will never be able to push the tire down far enough.  Must be done upside down.

This only applies to 1963 and older rims.  in 1964 they started making the modern ones.

I never had this issue with them on my 59 or 62, each had original rims. I just took them to a tire shop and they fixed me up.
