Sorry not in 69. You could get 307,350 and 396 v8 engines as well as two six bangers. But 327 was available in 68.

Thanks the car I'm looking at has a 327 in it. Do you think it downgrades the value much or is it still a good car with that engine. the engine is a L 79 and its brand new.

Thanks

I realy like the 327 engine so that would not stop me. And if build to l79 specs sounds like it would be a fun ride. Would be even better if it had a four speed manual.

If you look at the fuel line from tank to the fuel pump, a 5/16" line would indicate a 307, a 3/8" line indicates a 350 or 396. (Assuming it's never been changed)

I should have also mentioned the 396 was not available in the custom trim and convertibles. Just for your info.

And I should also have mentioned a 5/16" line could be on a 6 cylinder.

Based on the above let me ask this question as its been on my mind for a while now. ( I have a 64 SD 283, 4bbl, 220hp )

If the fuel tank to pump line is 3/8" does it follow that the pump to carb line is also 3/8"

or are all pump to carb lines 5/16"?

As far as I've ever seen the line from the tank will be the same size all the way to the carb.
