looking for a speedometer cable for my 1964 acadian beaumont anyone know where i can order one! also looking the the letters acadian that is supposed to be on the back of the car thanks
It'll depend on what transmission you have, standard or automatic, as they differ in length. Also, does it screw on to the back of your speedometer, or push on? To get an idea on what you need, go on ebay and search for 64 Chevelle speedometer cable.
Graphite is an ok lubricant for the cable and do not use to much. Lightly lube the cable to avoid having excess graphite build up and bind the speedo head. GM had a special lubricant for the speedo cable that was used in the 70's for noisy cables that they had a service bulletin issued.
