1957 Pathfinder rearend wheel bearing

Hello,

The wheel bearing of my 57 Pathfinder needs to be changed. As the Pontiacs which were build here in Switzerland are the same as the canadian ones I need your advice. In Switzerland it's hard to find the parts, so maybe you can help me to find the needed wheel bearing.

Is the rearend the same as the one of a Chevrolet?

Thanks a lot! biggrin

Here's a US supplier who will ship to Switzerland:
www.ebay.com/itm/Axle-Shaft-Bearing-Kit-C-TEK-Standard-Centric-fits-1957-Chevrolet-Two-Ten-Series-/271912059400%3A1957%7CMake%3AChevrolet&hash=item3f4f38c208:g:h2sAAOSwT6pVjqEB&vxp=mtr

May be others on eBay but that is the first one I found with decent price (price shown is for one, you can order more if you need both sides)

Someone on here should be able to supply a Timken or SKF or New Departure number which any industrial or auto supplier in Switzerland should be able to access.

Thank you guys for your help. So now i know where to look and what to look for. As soon as I heard the noise i went to a garage but the guy there told me there were no parts to get in Switzerland. But i guess now that he was just looking for Pontiac parts and not for Chevy. If your indicated parts fitfor my pathfinder i'll be a happy girl! :) Thanks a lot!

It is very important to make sure that the bearing is not a sealed bearing. It has to be open to allow the gear lube from the differential housing to enter it and lubricate it.
