Help decoding 283


I need some help decoding this 283.

What i think i know 

3789935= 61-64

2D10= April 10 62

9= export Canada

V=Flint Michigan

The rest is no clue 232568  where it stands as of now. I know them other numbers tell hp output and model car

The number 9 means automatic transmission the V means V8 283. The 232568 following the 9V is the last 6 serial numbers of the car or truck the engine was installed in from the factory.

In 62, the only 283 available in a car was a 170HP 2 barrel, the fact it has those "serial" number stampings on it means it was in a Canadian car, US cars with 283's did not have those numbers in 1962.
