The instrument cluster and heater controls are NOS, which makes a big different to me. So is the steering wheel and shroud and console plate. That's where you spend all of your time, I figure!

69 B-body convertible quarter glass - Canadian Poncho (activeboard.com)

WOW! Has it been that long?! I ended up getting the scratches removed when it was all said and done.

VERY nice dash Dave! I am partial to the blue dash in your other car, but that red cannot be ignored!

Here's an example of the date coding they've done for the glass... appreciate any feedback that I should give them, I'm not up to speed on what it SHOULD look like!
For some reason I thought PPG was on the US cars, but maybe it's appropriate for Canadian cars too.  They said it's based off the original rear glass date coding.

I had a chance to view a 1969 Canadian Impala side by side with a built US Impala.

Sure enough, the Oshawa built car had DCL stamped glass on the sides.

No original windshields.

DCL was probably the Oshawa glass supplier.

The Candian factories back then, sourced as much Canadian content as they could.

We do have members here with cars with the original front windshield.

I would love to see those stamps !

That's an example, or is that what did for your glass? I'd stick with DCL, not PPG.

This is the convertible top window, not the windshield! And I'm wondering if convertible tops came in as complete assemblies from the US, and hence had US glass. Apparently this is what the original in the car said, and it was dated 1969, so unlikely to be a replacement?

So, these are the stamps on the glass of my November, 1968 built '69 2+2 Convertible with original glass (except windshield): The first picture is the front side window and the second picture is the rear quarter window. Note the date difference between the two.

My top has been replaced and I would doubt the glass is original. I rarely put the top up on my car so not sure when I will get a look at it.hmm

DCL was Duplate Canada Limited, had a local glass factory in Oshawa.

Wow, Can't wait to see it done! Amazing work.

If you are up for a correction or two the door strikers were body colored.

Also, Every factory brake booster I've run across on Canadian built cars had a black paint finish rather than cad coated zinc.

That all aside this is a spectacular car, Looks to be the finest resto ever done on any canadian poncho and its done on a super rare and desirable example; sportiest body style with top dog engine and 4 speed with wow red in and out!

Each of my 1970 Cdn Pontiacs had the cad coated zinc booster.

All the small blocks that I've had came with a black booster. Dave Wach's car has a black booster and master, which looks like it's been painted, but not sure. Odds are, it should be black. But I think I'm going to go with that one, and it'll be our little secret

The strikers I should have painted. Only problem is they wear pretty quick with use, and look better natural, but should be painted to be right I imagine!

Thanks for the feedback!

Did the 69 2+2 get the wood grain steering wheel shroud insert?
