I'm hoping to get it in for next year. Not sure how stoked they'll be about a Canadian Pontiac, but we'll see!!

Dave, my experience at POCI conventions with my 65 Acadian and my 66 4 speed Grande Parisienne were 99.9% positive. With both cars I spent all day talking to guys who wanted to ask a million questions and take a ton of pictures. Nobody was rude to my face, not one person. I'm sure there were some snide remarks made away from the car but I don't care, the experience was loads of fun. My guess is you will come away from there saying "that was a blast".

I don't mind if we start making plans early. This has been on my list for many years now.

Dave, if your 69 427 4 speed 2+2 rag is going to MCACN, I'll be there to see it.

The Mccan show is not really that far away, distance wise.

Well it's a long haul from Seattle! But I imagine most people ship their car and fly, unless you're a regular show goer with a trailer and so on!

Update as some more of the interior goes in. They've had to rebuild the seatback mechanisms because they were rusted and just painted over. And some of the seat hardware was missing or wrong, etc. I'd had them done locally here in Seattle, and I can assure you every penny I spent trying to economize on things backfired and had to be redone!

In any event, it's coming together nicely. The thing I'm not stoked about are the reproduction door panels and their woodgrain inserts, which are vinyl fabric but should be hard plastic. I do have a set of good originals, but they weren't good enough to use for this car. If I can find someone to make them "like new", I'd do it. I hear there's a place in Oregon but they're hard to work with, are backed up, not taking new customers, etc...

What an amazing machine !

Just a note,

The top screw on the kick panel was never screwed in properly.

It was always off location biggrin

"They don't build them like the used to and we are glad of that"
