I know they did for the A bodies . My 69 info package shows 12 bolt for 396 and engines with four speed and F40. I would think they would have done the same with the b body cars . It's always nice when you find that little slip of information In your car. My tag was under rear seat.

I've found them under the dash pad, down by the steering column hole in the firewall or in the seats on 66 Canadian B bodies. And I bet 75% of the cars I've found the tag for had F40, but never F41.

I had a Canadian 68 Impala 427 car with a rear bar but in those days (1978) I was way to naive to know about F41, I just knew it had a rear bar.

Of the 9 66 and 67 western Canadian Ponchos I have on my place I think all are actually 12 bolts notwithstanding what it says in that book.

I know, it's crazy, it seems like F40 was almost standard equipment on the prairies, assuming that F40 got you a 12 bolt.

At least I think that's how it was. I can check my car but I'm sure there's no indication of it ever having had a hood pad under there.

Yes that's right, strato chief and Laurentian never had hood insulation. That's how it was for biscaynes and bel airs anyways.

Hmm, now you've got me thinking. You may be right Ken. I had it in my head that my 4 speed car had it (I bought it in 1981) but I better look, it likely didn't.

I found build sheets/broadcast sheets behind hood insulation before. The little info cards most often found under the seats etc aren't exactly build sheets. More just line RPO info. Trying to find more of these broadcast sheets for CDN cars but near impossible.

In the Chevies, yes... NEVER in any '67 Pontiac I have ever owned.... or at least when I got them!

 It seems some had them there and some didn't for whatever reason. Most likely they were removed/discarded once the car was built and rolled off the line.

I think it was because the Chevies got the badly assembled engines and they had to put hood insulation to cover all the tics and knocks whereas the Ponchos got the good ones that ran quiet! heh heh.

One thing I would argue with on this page---

It states the F41 has the "station wagon stabilizer". After looking at many many wagons it seems there is no pattern to which wagons got the big stabilizer. I've seen far more with the normal front bar than with the big front bar.
